Gunsmoke performs traditional country music. They have entertained audiences across the Northeast for over 25 years. Beyond the music, Gunsmoke is a family band. Raised together with classic country sounds, they have a passion for keeping the legacy of country music alive. Their repertoire is a mix of country’s past, present, and western swing.
Gunsmoke also performs tribute shows, specializing in the specific sounds of legendary artists such as Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson and many Grand Ole Opry legends. Gunsmoke has recorded six CD albums and have won numerous awards and recognition for original material and recording projects. Gunsmoke has been inducted into the Connecticut Country Music Hall of Fame, The Country Music and Dance Hall of Fame and elected Band of the Year six years in a row by The New York Metro CMA. Gunsmoke has performed with musical legends, Willie Nelson, Alan Jackson, Hank Williams Jr., Ray Price, and countless others. They also have been the feature entertainment for two sitting Presidents of the United States where Gunsmoke was requested specifically to perform. Gunsmoke has performed on the World Famous Ernest Tubb's Midnite Jamboree which is broadcast live along with the Grand Ole Opry on the Air Castle of the South, WSM 650AM in Nashville, TN. The Connecticut General Assembly has recognized Gunsmoke with a special citation which was presented by the Town of East Haddam during their Music on the River Concert Series. The citation honors Gunsmoke for outstanding musicianship and entertainment for the bands Silver Anniversary of 25 Years of Entertaining Audiences with Classic Country Music. |
